Ain't Nothin But A Hound Dog!
My Little Lost TravelerThe other night we had some pretty big storms roll through town. I was on my way home from my sister's house and could not see very well because of the rain so I stopped at a truck stop until the storm passed. I was sitting in my car and heard a little plaintive whimper a few feet away. There standing in the middle of the parking lot was a puppy and, of course, I rushed out and picked him up lest he be hit by something. So now I have yet another dog.
Took him to my dishy doggy doctor yesterday and he said that he is a bloodhound mix of some type. Now comes the fun of naming him, I'm thinking something like Bo or Bear. What do y'all think?
My sister thinks it's funny that I picked him up at a truck stop. She said "well, isn't that where you meet all your tricks?" Bitch!

I decided it was time to update my header! Do you like? The image is of "the girls" who I've named Midge and Madge. They have been on my nameplate at work now for awhile but since I am no longer going to be working I decided I should use them in another capacity. I don't know where I found the image but I fell in love with it, the lady in the sunglasses reminds me of my granny.
It seems that my evil plan to piss off my Mexican neighbors has finally worked. Once again their dog was out the other night running free and came after me as I walked to my front door. I maced the fucker, went inside and called the dogcatcher people and they came out yesterday and carted the little fucker away. Hooray! I felt bad for a minute when I noticed two of their kids crying because they were taking their dog, but I got over it.

Another One Down The Drain!
I am completely addicted to watching the commentaries on DVDs. Often after a truly horrible movie I will watch the director commentary and enjoy it immensely. There is a movie called Girls Will Be Girls it is an awful drag queen movie but the commentary is hilarious. You have not lived until you hear three drag queens discuss abortions.

Doing My Part For The Troops!
I really have nothing to write today, everything is the same as it has been for the past few weeks, basically blah. They still can't tell the few of us left at work how long we will be employed for, and if the way they are arsing all the ads up in Dallas is any indication it could be a while. I have not looked for another job yet, I am going to treat this summer like an extended vacation. I had a long look at my finances the other day and discovered, much to my surprise, that I could actually live off of the income my paintings now generate. In all honesty I could have done so a few years ago but that would have meant not having a "real" job and that scares me. There is something comforting in knowing you will have the exact same amount of money coming in every month. Maybe instead of getting a "real" job I will become a He-Ho, I could move to a naval city decorate my shop front in red, white and blue, and my sign will read "The Others Suck - We Swallow!" Or maybe I will join a circus and entertain millions of people around the world by showing them my double-jointed toes. Who knows, the world is my oyster. Problem is I may be allergic to shellfish.

What a shock I've had! Yesterday I was in a bad (meaning Mexican) part of town and decided to pop in to the grocery where my mam and I used to go every Saturday. Now back in the day this used to be the cheapest store in town, but alas, no more. Now the store is incredibly expensive on everything. They wanted $5.74 for a 12 pack of Pepsi, I can go to any other store in town and get the same 12 pack for around $3.00. What has caused this?
Unfortunately I believe the answer to my question is the Mexican population explosion in our area. Why is it that people who can afford the least are often charged the most? Before you start berating me as a racist please know that I quite like the hispanic culture (especially the food.)
The store in question caters mainly to Mexicans now as I found out when I first walked in the door and hear "La Cucaracha" blaring from the stores sound system. This fact was later strengthened when I was in the produce aisle and saw very little I recognized, although I must say they had an amazing array of peppers available.

I'm In The Mood For Curry!
Have not updated in a while because my computer at work is a big pile O' Poo! And since most of my entries are written because I'm putting off doing something else while at work I have not written anything. Today is no different, I have many things to do but sadly I am motivated to do none of them, thus I am writing this.
Nothing much going on right now, I've been working quite a bit. The company still can't tell us when they will not need us, so several of us are still here working away. Since we know that soon we will have no job the atmosphere here is joyus. No one really cares anymore so we are all just letting everything "hang out" we are all in shorts and t-shirts and non of us give a toss what happens. I guess the company should have planned this out better because it seems that things are falling apart down in Dallas because they are not used to our work. Ha Bloody Ha! Fuckers!

So the other day I wrote an entry about the woman who is going to take over my work, all very positive of course, nothing off-color about her at all. Then during a lull in the day she wanted to find my blog and read some of my entries. Well since my latest entry was in fact about her and her unfortunate lack of intellect I quickly had to delete the entry. Don't want to appear to be a compete prat.
